چکیده

We consider a Feynman amplitude A G (s k) written in terms of its external invariants s k (including particle masses), and an asymptotic regime defined by s k → λ a k s k , λ → ∞, where a k may be positive, negative, or zero (ultraviolet / infrared behaviours). A G (s k) as a function of λ has an asymptotic expansion of the form,

Existence of Asymptotic Expansions in Noncommutative Quantum Field Theories

Starting from the complete Mellin representation of Feynman amplitudes for noncommutative vulcanized scalar quantum field theory, introduced in a previous publication, we generalize to this theory the study of asymptotic behaviours under scaling of arbitrary subsets of external invariants of any Feynman amplitude. This is accomplished for both convergent and renormalized amplitudes.

Wilson Loops and Area-Preserving Diffeomorphisms in Twisted Noncommutative Gauge Theory

We use twist deformation techniques to analyse the behaviour under area-preserving diffeomorphisms of quantum averages of Wilson loops in Yang-Mills theory on the noncommutative plane. We find that while the classical gauge theory is manifestly twist covariant, the holonomy operators break the quantum implementation of the twisted symmetry in the usual formal definition of the twisted quantum f...

( noncommutative ) stars

We show that lattice regularization of noncommutative field theories can be used to study non-perturbative vacuum phases. Specifically we provide evidence for the existence of a striped phase in two-dimensional noncommutative scalar field theory.

On a noncommutative deformation of the Connes-Kreimer algebra

We study a noncommutative deformation of the commutative Hopf algebra HR of rooted trees which was shown by Connes and Kreimer to describe the mathematical structure of renormalization in quantum field theories. The requirement of the existence of an antipode for the noncommutative deformation leads to a natural extension of the algebra. Noncommutative deformations of HR might be relevant for r...

Noncommutative Open String Theories and Their Dualities

The recently found non-critical open string theories is reviewed. These open strings, noncommutative open string theories (NCOS), arise as consistent quantum theories describing the low energy theory of D-branes in a background electric B-field in the critical limit. Focusing on the D3-brane case, we construct the most general (3+1) NCOS, which is described by four parameters. We study S and T ...
